Burjeel Hospital signs long term agreement with United Arab Emirates Football Association
Dubai/ The UAE Football Association (UAEFA) has signed a cooperation agreement with the VPS Company as represented in the Burjeel Hospital. The long term contract was unveiled during a joint Press conference at the association’s offices in Dubai. The news conference was attended by Mohammed Abdulla Hazzam Al Dhahiri, secretary general of the UAEFA, Dr. Mostafa Al Hashemi, chairman of the sports medicine committee alongside Dr. ……., director general of the VPS Health Care and Ebtisam Al Bastaki, director of VPS Health Care in Dubai and Northern Emirates.
Pursuant to the agreement, the hospital will operate the medical centre which has been completed recently at the FA headquarters in Al Khawaneej.
Hazzam conveyed the greetings of HE Yousuf Yaqoob Al Serkal, president of the UAEFA and the members of the board of directors. He said: “We are delighted to sign a partnership agreement with one of the leading firms in the medical field. This is a step forward in the development program through the road map on which the strategy of the association was built.”
He also noted that Center will be open for the athlets, public, FA members and guests, but priority will be given to the Naitonal teams,of course. This will let us to have the complete data of all our players, to monitor their condition during the season, as the health care and safety of the players are our primary responsibilities.
According to Dr. ..........., director general of the VPS Medical Care, the signing ceremony represents a pleasant and important day for the Burjeel Hospital, considering that the UAEFA is one of the best football governing bodies around the world. He added: “The sports medicine is becoming very crucial for any nation and any sports institution and our plan with the FA is focused on operating the medical centre in accordance with the highest standards of specifications as approved by the FIFA, to become the destination of sportsmen and athletes from all over the world. We will do every move to provide the best medical services.“
Medical consultations and recent apparatus
Mostafa Al Hashemi, chairman of the sports medicine committee of the UAEFA, said the medical centre is comprised of well equipped gym, medical clinic, treatment facilities, pharmacy and special area for the swimming pool, lab, rehabilitation, fitmess and pain management. We will provide medical and nuitrition consultation services besides the physiotherapy, pain management, fitness program, weight loss, cardilogical rehabilation, while the priority would be for the players of the national teams and clubs. Burjeel Hospital will carry out the pre-matches tests for all players of the national teams at differenrt stages. VPS as represented in the Burjeel Hospital provides the data of the injured players and the nature of their injuries plus the procedure that has been takes for performing the necessary studies and researches.“
Al Hashemi thanked the FA president and the board members for supporting the projects and plans of the sports medicine committee and their genuine followup for the same to upgrade the health and medical care of the UAE players to develop their game.
Serving UAE football
Ebtisam Al Bastaki, director of VPS Health Care in Dubai and the Northern Emirates said: „The hospital will make avaiable all the medical requirements at the highest international standards in the field for the best interest of the country’s football in order to achieve the targetted success.“
Thereafter, the agreement was signed by Mohammed Abdulla Hazzam and the director general of the VPS Health Care, and both sides exchanged mementos.
Dr. Mostafa Al Hashemi noted that the UAEFA will provide the required support for Burjeel Hospital obtaining the necessary endorsement of the FIFA saying that they will liasion with the concerned committee in the world football governing body in this regard.
